Gem Testing

Gem testing is highly involved process. Each gem has unique and distinctive properties. When analysing gemstones it is important that testing does not damage the gem. Gems are cut carefully to achieve their beauty and are often very valuable. Most techniques for analysing gemstones that we use involve light and different aspects of the gems physical and chemical composition are revealed through these processes allowing us to determine the gems identity.
